Investigators found pharmaceutical drugs in the body of Chris Benoit, the pro wrestler who killed his wife and young son and then hung himself inside their home.
In addition to steroids, his body contained the anti-anxiety medication Xanax and painkillers according to a statement from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. The GBI said Benoit tested negative for blood alcohol.
His wife and son also tested positive for Xanax according to the agency.
Benoit killed his wife and their 7 year old son, placed Bibles next to their bodies, and then hung himself on the cable of their weight machine.
Can you even remember the last time a big, media-centered murder (Like Cho, Andrea Yates or Benoit) or premature death (Like Anna Nicole Smith's and her son's) was not related to the use of prescription medication?
